■ PHOENIX Sports kept their survival hopes alive with a narrow win at basement boys Steyning Town.
Both keepers were kept busy in an exciting first half – Phoenix stopper Sam Freeman was twice called in to action early on while Isaac Thompson forced the hosts Nathan Stroomberg into making a smart save.
The only goal of the game came on the half hour mark. Tyler Anderson broke down the right and found Perri Iandolo, who side-footed home. Isaac Thompson’s dinked effort when clear through was the only effort of note after the break.
