■ NORTH Ferriby suffered defeat to relegation-threatened Ossett United.
The villagers offered some promise in the opening minutes but Ossett played with great determination and went close to scoring in the 32nd minute after a lob hit the woodwork and fell into Ben Bottomley’s arms.
Ferriby were unfortunate not to score after Tom Corner was denied by a fine Alex Petrovic save. Tom Corner was in action early in the second half, prising the ball from Petrovic but failing to hit the target.
