TOWERING striker Robert Edmans is to remain with Chelmsford City next season.
The 26-year-old initially joined the Clarets in the summer of 2009 following a spell with their Essex counterparts Witham Town and spent two seasons with them before going pro with Dagenham & Redbridge.
Chelmsford bagged a five-figure sum by selling the forward but Edmans’ time with the Daggers was blighted by injury and he spent spells on loan at Dover Athletic and Macclesfield Town in 2012.
He returned to Chelmsford last season on an initial one month deal before re-signing for them permanently towards the end of the Conference South campaign.
Edmans has now put pen-to-paper on a new one-year contract with Dean Holdsworth’s side.
