Money Sticks With U’s Despite Indian Offer

CAMBRIDGE UNITED boss Richard Money has turned down the chance of managing in India to remain in charge at the Abbey.

Money was approached by Jindal Vijayanagar Steel – a Bangalore-based outfit who are set to make their debut in India’s top division next season.

He discussed the possibility of joining them as their first ever manager but will instead stay with the U’s.

Speaking to BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, he said: “It was something no-one could dismiss out of hand.

“It’s a really big project and the people have been really impressive.

“It was very tempting and very flattering to be involved in. But you can’t do both jobs unfortunately.”
