ENGLAND C goalkeeper Preston Edwards has signed a new one-year deal with Ebbsfleet United.
The 23-year-old stopper won Player of the Year at Stonebridge Road last season but saw his side relegated from the Blue Square Bet Premier.
Edwards, who skippered England for the first half of their victory in Bermuda last week, says he’s delighted to be a part of the Fleet squad for their attempt to bounce straight back to the Conference Premier.
Speaking to the club’s website, Edwards said: “I have been away on England duty where I was honoured to be selected as the England captain.
“The transformation in the club whilst I have been away is amazing and Steve Brown has made some really exciting signings.
“There is a real buzz around the club and I want to be a part of what we all hope could be an exciting future.”
