VERSATILE defender Leigh Franks has dropped down a division to join Harrogate Town from Alfreton Town.
The 22-year-old featured 32 times for the Reds last season, scoring twice and helping the Derbyshire outfit to a 13th-place finish in the Conference Premier.
Franks, who can play at either centre-back or right-back, has also spent time with Scarborough, Bridlington Town, Huddersfield Town, Fleetwood Town and Oxford United over the course of his short career.
