DEREK GOODALL has resigned as chairman of Conference South side Hayes & Yeading United.
Goodall is the only man to have held the role at United since its inception in 2007 when Hayes FC and Yeading FC merged.
The club have moved swiftly to appoint a successor, with former first-team boss and director of football Tony O’Driscoll taking over the role.
O’Driscoll will oversee the club’s move to the Sharda Glass Community Stadium and work on developing some of United’s wide-reaching community projects.
A club statement announcing the board reshuffle said: “It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Derek after everything he has given to and achieved at both clubs, but with excitement and anticipation, we also welcome Tony to his new role.”
