LUKE FOSTER has rejoined Lincoln City eight years after joining them as a young professional.
The centre-back initially signed for the Imps back in the summer of 2005 after coming through the ranks at Sheffield Wednesday.
He went on to make 17 appearances for them before going on to have spells with Stalybridge Celtic, Oxford United, Mansfield Town and Stevenage.
Over the past couple of seasons he has spent time with Rotherham United, Matlock Town and Preston North End, though his involvement has been limited due to a cruciate ligament injury sustained while with the Millers.
He was released by Preston at the end of last season and linked up with Lincoln for a pre-season trial.
Imps boss Gary Simpson has been suitably impressed by his contribution and has handed a contract for the forthcoming 2013/14 Conference Premier campaign.
