ALDERSHOT TOWN have added Portsmouth youngster Adam Webster to their squad.
Centre-back Webster, who has been with Pompey since the age of 12, made over 20 appearances for the then-League One club last season.
The 18-year-old will remain at the New Rec on loan until January and his manager at Portsmouth, Guy Whittingham, feels his spell playing Conference football will prove beneficial to his development as a player.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Whittingham said: “It’s a great move for Adam. People might forget he’s only 18 because he’s been around for so long.
“He came on the scene very quickly, but he needs to play games and this provides a great opportunity for him to do just that.
“We’ll go and watch him and keep contact with Aldershot to make sure everything’s okay.”
