BOB PATON is set to stand down as chairman of Colwyn Bay on September 14.
Paton, who has been in charge of the Skrill North club for the past two years, will remain at Llanelian Road as a board member.
A statement on the club’s website said: “The Colwyn Bay board of directors have reluctantly accepted Bob Paton’s resignation as chairman.
“Bob, who has been chairman for the past two years, has decided to step down with effect from September 14, but will continue as both a member of the main board and that of Colwyn Bay FC Football in the Community.
“The board expressed their appreciation of all the work that Bob had put into the club during his time as chairman.”
“The Board of Directors have appointed David Messom, a current director, to the role of Chairman, and Grant McIndoe, company secretary, to the role of Vice-Chairman.”
