PETERBOROUGH UNITED striker Shaquille McDonald has returned to Non-League for his second loan spell of the season by signing for Histon.
The 18-year-old has been prolific at youth team and Under-21 level for Posh since joining the League One club from Chasetown last year.
He went on loan to Skrill Premier strugglers Chester earlier this term, but was sent off after going on as a substitute for his debut in a 3-1 defeat at Salisbury, and did not play again for the Blues.
Stutes’ boss Brian Page has the forward available for tomorrow’s Skrill North game at Guiseley, and he said: “Shaq is a terrific striker. He’s powerful, direct and a natural goal scorer.
“He will do very well for us and I’m grateful to everyone at Peterborough United for making this move happen.”
Meanwhile, Page completed his second signing of the day with David October joining from Ipswich Town, like McDonald on youth loan terms.
The 18-year-old left-sided defender and was part of the Histon Academy before leaving for a scholarship at Portman Road, where he captained the Under-18 side last season.
“I’ve known David for a few years now so I know what he’s about as a person and as a player,” added Page. “To be able to get a full-back of his ability back to the club is fantastic for us and he will be another really good addition to the squad.
“Both David and Shaq’s signings strengthen the squad and add real competition for places.”
