OMER RIZA has been appointed permanent manager of Cheshunt.
Riza was named as the Ambers’ caretaker boss in late August and has since led them to 15th in Ryman North Division One North, picking up 14 points from eight league games.
Taking the reins has also seen him hit fantastic form on the pitch, scoring 12 times in 12 matches in all competitions.
He has now been given the manager’s job on a permanent basis by chairman David Williamson, who is confident he can continue to take the club forward.
Williamson said: “I’ve been really impressed with the professionalism that Omer has brought to the club. The players enjoy working with him and his hard work is evident in our improved performances.
Omer is young and hungry and shares the same ambition as the board. He has been working extremely hard and I wish him a long and successful reign at the club.”
