KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS boss Steve Burr has shocked Non-League by leaving Aggborough with immediate effect.
Kiddy drew 0-0 with League One Peterborough on Saturday in the FA Cup and had a replay to look forward to next week.
And they are still in the running for promotion back into the Football League, currently sitting seventh in the Skrill Premier after losing in the play-off semi-finals last season.
Burr, a former Nuneaton, Hucknall, Northwich Victoria and Stalybridge boss, turned down an approach from Forest Green Rovers to become their new manager in November and will now be looking for a new job following four years at Aggborough.
A Kidderminster statement read: “Everybody at the club would like to place on record its unreserved thanks to Steve for his efforts whilst in post.
“The board of directors would like to state explicitly again that its sole ambition for this season is to achieve promotion back to the Football League and that they are fully committed to taking whatever step necessary to reach that goal.
“No further comment will be made by the club at this stage.”
