MANCHESTER UNITED legends Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs are reportedly in talks to buy Non-League Salford City.
The former United team-mates already own a restaurant together, called Cafe Football, and are interested in buying the Ammies and setting up an academy.
Retired Neville, 38, is part of Roy Hodgson’s England coaching set-up and is also a pundit with Sky Sports while the 40-year-old Giggs is still playing and coaching at Old Trafford.
It is understood that should the deal go through, work will go ahead on a new stand and clubhouse that the club has already got planning permission for.
The Evo-Stik NPL Division One North side, who used to be managed by Ryan’s brother Rhodri Giggs, haven’t got the £560,000 to begin building but that should be no problem if the takeover goes ahead.
