THIS National League match at Torquay United has been on my radar for quite some time. Of course, I have visited Plainmoor before but not for many a year. I suspect the Gulls have done quite a bit of work on the stadium in the last 20 years, so I fancy taking a look.

Third time lucky, surely? The Fox and I try Corsham Town in The FA Vase once more again this weekend. Also there will be supporters of Deal Town, Kent, making their third journey in three weeks. The weather is mild and dry, so there should be no pitch inspection today. Surely?!

LOOKING down the list of ties in the FA Trophy and the Vase, there are just two clubs I haven’t visited and one of those is on an island much closer to France than Nottingham. I, therefore, pick out Corsham Town as my destination. And then the weather raises its ugly head again.
