PORT HIT BY PITCH BLOW

PORTISHEAD Town have been left counting the cost after travellers wrecked their pitch.
The Toolstation Western League Division One outfit face a bill of several thousands of pounds after five caravans were moved on to their Bristol Road pitch 10 days ago.
It was three days before police and bailiffs were able to move them off.
Horrified club officials found that several holes about a foot deep had been dug into the first-team pitch which was rendered unplayable, leaving them with a race against time to carry out repairs before the season starts.
