DALE BELFORD has left his post as manager of Vanarama Conference North Tamworth after picking up just one win in their opening nine games.
The Lambs were relegated from Non-League‘s top-flight last season and were tipped to mount a promotion charge after some impressive summer signings .
However, they have struggled, picking up just eight points from their first nine league games which was ultimately not enough for Belford and his assistant Steve Farmer, who has also left the Lamb.
A club statement read: “This evening Tamworth FC and Manager Dale Belford have parted company.
“It was an amicable decision with chairman Bob Andrews thanking Dale for his efforts on behalf of the football club.
“We wish Dale every success in the future.”
