NICKY LAW is confident his Alfreton Town side can continue their good form in the FA Cup and cause an upset at Macclesfield Town.
The Reds have lost their last three National League North games but have beaten rivals Tamworth and Hednesford Town away from home in the past two rounds of the Cup.
They travel to John Askey’s Macc on Saturday knowing they are just 90 minutes away from a possible money-spinning tie against a Football League club.
“Macclesfield away is certainly not the ideal tie and will be a tough game” said the Reds boss.
“To be honest, we are in a win-win scenario as nobody is really expecting us to get through so we will just go and give it our best shot and see where it takes us, hopefully it will be enough.
“We need not fear them, just respect them and be mindful of their threats and weaknesses. Whoever you play at this stage is a tough draw as every team left in the competition is wanting to get into the first round proper.
“We are certainly capable of winning the game but one thing is for sure and that is that we are going to have to perform far better all round than we did at both Hednesford and Tamworth in the last two rounds.
“It is a great opportunity for our players to test themselves against a well-established National League side and to see how far away our squad are from the next level.”
