Alfreton Town ‘too weak’ to see out games says boss Nicky Law

boss Nicky Law has warned his players that they must start learning from their own mistakes if they want to progress.

The Reds let a 1-0 lead slip at home to AFC on Tuesday night and ended up losing 2-1 to the North big-spenders.

It means Alfreton remain in 14th following relegation from ‘s top tier last season and Law says his players’ decision making must improve if they are to climb the table.

“As a group we are currently too weak to see out games,” he said. “Too many players can’t do the simple things and carry out instructions.

“I’ve told them (the players) that you are never going to win games if, as a group or an individual, you keep making the wrong decisions.

“I’ve told them it will be the same this Saturday unless we go out and carry out instructions. Everyone makes mistakes in life, but better people who want to move on won’t do it again.

“Unfortunately, we have got players who are making the same mistakes again, again and again. It’s very simply not good enough.

“Maybe as a group we are not good enough. Whether we can do enough to change that at this stage in the season I don’t know.”
