AFC Telford United confirm two new directors

have announced that Andy Pryce and Luke Fearnall have joined the club’s board of directors.

Both men were interviewed by a committee made up of Club and Trust board members and have been unanimously chosen to represent the Bucks.

Fearnall, a trustee for five years, has been Trust chairman since 2014 and will take up the position of fan liaison director following the recent resignation of Mark Berry.

“I feel the club has done a lot recently to bring the fans back to the fore,” Fearnall said. “We’ve brought back Rob (Smith, manager) and Larry (Chambers, assistant), which I was a key part to make happen and we feel on the pitch we have a very good squad in place.

“Now I want to help bring the relationship with the fans and the board back to how it was at the outset.”

Pryce, meanwhile, is a managing director of a local building company and brings a wealth of business and experience to the New Bucks Head having spent a long spell as goalkeeper at .

Amongst other responsibilites, he will help the club in project managing any redevelopments in the future and was part of the negotiations to bring in Sondico as the club’s kit supplier.

Pryce said: “I was delighted to be approached by the club chairman and trust board to see if I was interested in being a club director.

“As a local lad, I want to see this club prosper and feel I can offer the combination of football and business skills to the board.”

Chairman Ian Dosser added: “I’m delighted that both Andy and Luke will be joining the club board.

“Andy already does a great deal for the football club and this includes the recent very efficient management and delivery of the new deal with Sondico, help and advice to our youth set up and working on potential site development.

“Luke has been a integral part in key decision making around the football club. He was a driving force behind the season ticket price reductions, which have seen an increase in sales for the forthcoming season.

“He will be a key addition to the board and will have the fans’ opinions at the forefront of any decision which the football club makes.”
