DENNIS GREENE has been appointed manager of Boston United following the sacking of Graham Drury.
The Pilgrims board terminated Drury’s contract on Monday, bringing to an end his 13-game tenure.
Boston won just twice in that period and now find themselves 15th in the Conference North, ten points above the relegation zone.
His successor Greene, who has previously managed at St Neots Town and Histon, takes charge on a short-term basis, joining on a deal running until the end of the season.
Speaking about Greene’s appointment, Pilgrims chairman David Newton said: “We are pleased that Dennis has agreed to take the role on until the end of the season initially.
“He will get to work with the players immediately and hopefully help deliver a positive result against Gloucester City on Tuesday.”
