TOM WARD has swapped one Conference North club for another, joining Gainsborough Trinity from their Lincolnshire neighbours Boston United.
The centre-back plied his trade with United Counties League Premier Division side Sleaford Town before moving to Boston in the summer of 2010.
It took him until the 2011/12 season to break into the Pilgrims’ first team and he has made over 30 appearances in both the last two Conference North campaigns.
He was offered non-contract terms by Boston boss Dennis Greene earlier this summer and initially agreed to remain at the Jakemans Stadium.
However, the 22-year-old has now changed his mind and will spend the 2013/14 campaign at The Northolme.
