Harvey leaves Celtic 12th in the Skrill North

During that time the Celts have finished ninth, 10th, sixth and 13th in the Conference North.

They’ve made an inconsistent start to the 2013/14 – winning three times, drawing twice and losing five games – and now Harvey has stepped aside for someone else to take the club forward.

Club chairman Rob Gorski commented: “I would like to put on record our sincere appreciation for all the hard work that Jim has put in over the past 3 1/2 years and we wish him every success in his future career.”

Mike Brierley, PR and Communications manager of the Stalybridge Celtic Supporters’ Association added: “Jim’s time in the hot seat coincided with a significant period in the club’s history, with the move to full time and the development of the youth system, a role that he was to play a major part in and one that has already seen success and can be a vital area for many years to come.”

The club’s academy coach, Colin Chambers, has been put in temporary charge of the club and is set to oversee their game away at tomorrow.
