SKRILL NORTH club Vauxhall Motors are hoping for a bumper crowd for their festive fixture against Harrogate Town after deciding fans can pay what they like to get in!
With Christmas coming up, finances are tight so the Rivacre Park club are easing the burden by asking for a minimum of just £1 from each supporter for the game on Saturday, December 28.
Similar things have been done on Non-League Day but with three home games over the festive period, chairman Alan Bartlam says the club has to give a little back.
“As a thank you to all our regulars, we are offering admission to the middle game of those three, against Harrogate on the 28th, at a minimum of just £1 to everyone with the catch line ‘pay what you want’ at the turnstiles on the day,” he said.
“We obviously hope that this will also draw other football fans to come along to Rivacre Park on the 28th for this special offer, but it is our own supporters that this offer is specifically targeted at, purely as a thank you from the club for your magnificent support.”
