Director of football Adie Britton the latest to leave Bath City

ADIE BRITTON is to leave after his spell as caretaker manager alongside Jim Rollo comes to an end.

Britton has been involved with the Romans for over a decade, leading the club into the top tier of during his spell as manager.

While in the Conference Premier, Bath finished an impressive tenth in their debut season of 2010-11 but they were relegated the year after.

Britton stepped down as manager to become director of football in October 2012 and was replaced by his assistant Lee Howells.

However, Howells parted company with the Romans on Monday after a run of just two wins in 17 games.

Britton and club legend Jim Rollo have stepped in to take charge of the team on an interim basis while the club searched for a new permanent boss. And Britton will leave the club once a successor has been found.

A club statement said: “Adrian Britton has asked the board to be released from his contract as director of football but has agreed to look after team affairs with Jim Rollo until a new manager has been appointed.

“We hope to conclude this process within two to three weeks.”
