Loan Moves For Boreham Wood Pair

have sent out PASE graduates Lee Close and Harvey Scott Morris on one-month loan deals.

Close – a former England Schoolboy international – has played in nine games for the Wood this season but is in need of greater first-team opportunities.

As a result he has joined Ryman Premier League side , who currently sit just four points above the relegation zone in their division.

Morris, who is yet to make a start for the Wood this term but has regularly featured as a substitute, links up with sixth-placed Ryman Division One South side .

Speaking about the duo’s loan deals, Wood boss Ian Allinson said: “Both Lee and Harvey have featured heavily in my first-team squads all season.

“They have also both played their part in the club’s good start. In fact Lee’s performances at St Neots in our FA win and in our 0-0 draw at Bath meant he was a little unfortunate to lose his starting place.

“At present his game time at right-back with Ben Nunn playing so well is limited and unless Ben is injured that will not change in the next month.

“In Harv’s case he has a great future, we love his desire, tenacity and will to win.

“He will thrive at Potters Bar under Adam Lee and with me now having our skipper Mario Noto returning to full fitness, plus a full squad available for me to choose from, I don’t want to halt Harvey’s development.”
