CENTRE-BACK Danny Webb has signed a one-year contract with Chelmsford City.
The 29-year-old spent a month with the Clarets in at the start of the 2008/09 season but was released by then-boss Jeff King and subsequently joined Sutton United.
He has since had spells with Havant & Waterlooville, Salisbury City, Bath City and Dover Athletic.
Webb has also spent time with Southampton, Southend, Hull, Cambridge and Wimbledon, and Clarets manager Dean Holdsworth feels his experience will be a big asset at the Melbourne Stadium. Holdsworth told the club’s website: “Danny has signed a one-year deal and I’m very pleased to have someone of Danny’s experience in our squad.”
