REECE CONNOLLY has been suspended by Farnborough after he was found to have illegal substances in his system.
The 21-year-old striker was one of a number of first team players who was called for an internal drug test last month and his sample showed use of cocaine, marijuana and a third unconfirmed substance.
Connolly, formerly of Aldershot Town, has subsequently admitted using banned substances to the club’s management team and chief executive.
The club then immediately offered him pastoral care and suspended him from all footballing activities.
A statement from the club said: “The club continue to take legal advice on this matter.
“The club will not condone the use of drugs and will make no further comment at this time.”
