THE likely cancellation of the 2020/21 season below the National League provides a unique opportunity to revolutionise football at Step 3 and below.
In fact, I believe a cancellation now and a switch to a summer season running from March/April through to December could be a hugely popular change.
Football at those levels, and perhaps the National Leagues too, would have the chance to secure some TV/ streaming coverage and attendances would surely benefit from around 15 weeks without competition from the senior professional game.
