STEVE HILL’S excellent, tongue-in-cheek article (NLP, June 23) about his expensive visit to the new all singing and dancing Spurs stadium struck a chord with me. Early in the 2007-08 season, my family decided to treat our grandson to a match at the Emirates to see his beloved Arsenal for his 14th birthday.
First, we had to become Silver members at £20 each, then we had pitch for tickets at £46 each - a total outlay of a whopping £132! Give me Non-League any day!
