INTRODUCING localised summer football could be an option if taking control of the Covid pandemic is proving difficult. Scientifically, the virus has been proven to stronger in cold weather and weakens in extreme heat.
Therefore, perhaps summer football in mini leagues – on a non-competitive basis and with crowds under restrictions – could actually revitalise the game?
