As the UK’s most progressive network exclusively dedicated to helping all stakeholders of the non league game, whether player, manager, fan or otherwise, and also as the exclusive commercial partner to the UK’s official players union for amateur and semi professional footballers, The ASPSU, Our Game continues to lead the way with the services it provides to non league football.
On the 17th of December, the Founder of Our Game, ex semi-professional player Francis Duku, would like to invite you to an evening of discussion and debate about the many ways a properly ran players union can make a huge difference to both players and clubs alike, and why it is deserving of your support.
Joining us on this evening will be a selection of the business partners we use at Our Game to provide the unrivalled service we offer. This will include our partners from RIFT Group (tax reclaims for players and tax planning for clubs), Isokinetic (the UK’s only FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence), the Our Game legal team from leading law firm Fieldfisher, and the specialist Lloyds of London underwriters we use to provide the exclusive player protection package that pays out up to £500 a week to injured players left unable to play football or go to work. Also attending as special guests will be the FA’s Head of Judicial Services (Mark Ives), and the PFA’s Head of Welfare (ex non league player Michael Bennett) who will both give an insight into the ways a player’s union can benefit the semi-professional and amateur game based on their professional knowledge and experiences.
Join us for what promises to be an informative but informal event where you will undoubtedly be surprised at just how much help is available to you and your club covering areas such as financial, disciplinary, welfare and even lifestyle. The help is out there, you just need to know where to look and take the opportunity offered. With it being the week before Christmas, we will also be providing a drink or two to help you enjoy the evening that bit more, so join us and the non league community for what should be a great evening.
The event will be held at the offices of our lawyers, Fieldfisher, at 2 Swan Lane, London, EC4R 3TT (which is a short walk from both London Bridge and Monument stations) with a 6.30pm start. Entry is free but is strictly limited to those who apply for a space and confirm their attendance ahead of the event. Anyone wanting to attend must apply by email to [email protected] stating their name, club and role. Confirmation will be provided by return of email while spaces remain available.
For those based outside of London who would like to attend but can’t because of the distance, don’t worry, we will be taking this event nationwide in the new year to give you a chance to have your voice heard too…..
