THE race to become Manager of the Month for March is once again turning into a close affair. Leading the way as it stands are Hanbury Parkas, who are currently 29th in the main FNL table.
Today’s update covers the seven-day period between Sunday March 22 to Saturday March 28 and before this weekend’s round of matches, our leaders accumulated 1,798 points – just 16pts clear of second-placed Sticks, who are 64th in the main FNL table.
In third place is Mareham Reserves who are 36pts behind our leader and 192nd in the main table. Indeed, the top five is covered by just 47 points and the top ten by 78pts. Anyone in that top ten, or even below, could be in contention for this month’s cash prizes.
At the bottom – where the monthly wooden spoon brings a cash prize of £50 – overall incumbents Bruces Anchors ‘lead the way’ with 725pts. They are 34pts adrift from Joshuas Jewels, while the bottom five is covered by just 66pts.
Congratulations to North Ferriby United, who won the FA Trophy at Wembley last week with victory over Wrexham. Don’t forget, both teams are counted as away teams, while North Ferriby’s winning bonus will not be awarded until the end of the season.
