JAMES NORWOOD has become Gary Brabin’s first signing as Tranmere Rovers boss after agreeing on a two-year deal at Prenton Park.
The striker, 24, began his career at Exeter City but has played in Non-League‘s top flight for Forest Green Rovers for the past four years.
He left The New Lawn at the end of the season and has become Brabin’s first new player at the recently relegated side.
On bringing in the England C international, boss Brabin said: “I’m delighted to make James my first signing.
“He was someone I knew I wanted to bring to the club the day I became manager.
“He’s got a good scoring record in the Conference and I know he can get better. But he’s got more than goals to his game, he’s someone who will work his socks off up front and make life difficult for the opposition.
“He had interest from League One and League Two clubs but he wanted to be a part of our plans here and I’m really pleased to be able to add him to my squad.”
