CONFERENCE PREMIER title-chasers Grimsby Town have added Richard Brodie to their frontline.
The 25-year-old striker joins the Mariners on loan from Crawley Town and will remain with them until the end of the season.
Brodie is well-schooled in Conference football having started out in the Blue Square Premier with York City before a loan spell with Barrow and a permanent move to Crawley in 2010.
He scored 11 times for the Red Devils in their 2010/11 Blue Square Bet Premier winning season but was loaned to Fleetwood Town in May 2011.
Brodie again helped fire a side to promotion out of the Non-League pyramid, contributing nine goals in 16 starts for the Cod Army.
The Gateshead-born marksman returned to Crawley in the summer but was sent to Morecambe on a six-month loan deal in July of last year.
Following six goals in 27 appearances for the Shrimps he has now linked up with Grimsby, who currently sit top of the Conference table, one point above second-placed Wrexham.
