CAMBRIDGE UNITED have allowed defender Jonathon Thorpe to join their Conference Premier rivals Tamworth on loan.
The 19-year-old is currently 13 months into a two-and-a-half year deal at Cambridge but has featured just 13 times for the U’s this term.
His manager at the Abbey, Richard Money, feels a spell with the Lambs will prove a good move for the teenager.
Speaking to the club’s website, Money said: “We need JT to have a run of games in his favoured position at right-back and Tamworth have provided us with this opportunity.
“As with Liam Hughes at Corby, we feel that Jonathon will benefit from this one month loan.”
