PHIL MARSH has had his contract with Forest Green Rovers cancelled by mutual consent.
The 26-year-old striker arrived at the New Lawn last summer, joining David Hockaday’s team from Stalybridge Celtic.
However, he featured just five times for Rovers before being loaned out to their Conference Premier rivals Hereford United in October.
Marsh spent three months with the Bulls prior to rejoining Rovers, who have now agreed to terminate his deal to allow him to find a new club.
Speaking about the forward’s departure, Hockaday said: “Phil’s a top lad and wants to be playing. Unfortunately it hasn’t quite happened for him at Forest Green.
“But I know everyone at The New Lawn wishes him all the best in his future football career.”
