GOALKEEPER Chris Maxwell has returned to Wrexham to help out the Dragons following a serious injury to their first-choice stopper Joslain Mayebi.
Mayebi damaged his Achilles against Southport on Tuesday and it was feared he would be out of action for up to eight months.
Although that estimate has now been reduced to three months, he will still miss the remainder of the season and therefore Dragons boss Andy Morrell moved to secure Maxwell on loan.
Maxwell, 22, left the Racecourse Ground to join Fleetwood Town last summer but has been second choice at Highbury behind Scott Davies.
He now has the opportunity to get play regular first-team football and is set to be between the sticks when the Dragons take on Forest Green Rovers tomorrow.
