NAS BASHIR has left his his role as manager of Hayes & Yeading United by mutual consent.
Bashir, 43, took over as United boss in June 2011 and suffered relegation from the Blue Square Bet Premier after the club finished his maiden season in 21st place in the league.
The club’s board stuck by the former Reading assistant academy manager, giving him the opportunity to lead them back to the top tier of the Non-League pyramid at the first attempt.
However, United have failed to set the Conference South alight this term and are already eight points off the play-off places in eighth.
The club’s director of football Tony O’Driscoll has been placed in temporary charge for this week’s fixtures against Uxbridge in the Middlesex Senior Cup and Truro City in the Blue Square Bet South.
A statement announcing Bashir’s departure said: “Everybody at the club would like to thank Nas for all his efforts on behalf of Hayes & Yeading United and wish him all the best in his future career.”
