Lee Hodges Parts Company With Truro City

chairman Peter Masters has confirmed he has decided against offering manager Lee Hodges a new contract.

The White Tigers finished rock bottom of the Conference South this term but the club’s off field situation that has led to Hodges’ departure.

They went into administration last September and there is still uncertainty surrounding the Company Voluntary Arrangement that would enable they to reach an agreement to pay back their creditors.

Lee HodgesRather than allow that uncertainty to affect Hodges’ managerial position, the club have released him so he can seek another role elsewhere.

In a statement posted on the club’s website, Masters said: “Both Philip (Perryman – who took over the club with Masters in December 2012) and I thought it only right to put an end to the current speculation as whether Lee will manage the team next season now to enable him every opportunity to secure a suitable position elsewhere.

“Lee will always be remembered for his contribution towards guiding Truro City through its darkest hours during the administration both on and off the pitch and will be sincerely missed by us all.”
