SIR Dave Richards has been appointed vice president of the Football Conference.
Richards has spent the past 14 years as chairman of the Premier League and has also previously held the position of chairman at Sheffield Wednesday.
The Conference are delighted to have his as part of their team ahead of the 2013/14 season and said in a statement: “His addition will be a tremendous asset, with his contacts and relationships in and outside the game.
“We extend a warm welcome to him.”
The Conference have also confirmed that Barnet chairman Tony Kleanthous has taken up the position of co-opted director to represent Premier Division clubs.
