Gary Whild Replaces Andy Thorn As Kidderminster Manager

GARY WHILD has taken over as boss following the sacking of Andy Thorn after just 54 days in charge.

Harriers controversially sacked popular manager in January and replaced him with ex-Coventry City chief Thorn.

However, since his arrival, Kiddy have struggled and have slipped down the Skrill Premier table. Thorn won just three of his ten games in charge and Harriers are now four points off the play-off places.

Replacing Thorn is Burr’s former assistant Whild. Whild, an ex- boss, takes over initially until the end of the season.

He said:  “I’m looking forward to getting back in with the lads and getting things back on track. Hopefully we can put some smiles on the faces of the players and the supporters and start picking up some results.

“It’s going to be hectic in terms of the game coming up on Saturday but I know these lads and what they’re capable of – they’ve proved that over a long period of time.”

A Kiddy statement added: “The club feels that by making a change now, the team will have a better opportunity to not only finish the current season strongly but, equally as importantly, will also be able to carry momentum forward into the start of a new season – whichever division that may be in.”
