I’M A Bournemouth boy and this week I was reading on the local paper’s website it’s 25 years since Wimborne Town lifted the FA Vase.
They beat Guiseley 5-3 at Wembley that day.
Back then I was in the middle of my refereeing career and I was looking through the photographs of all the players I used to referee.It was a nice trip down memory lane for me.
I took charge of a lot of FA Vase games over the years, including three quarterfinals. They were all humdingers of games – but perhaps I’ll leave it there!
