SANDBACH United are the FA National Grassroots Club of the Year.
The North West Counties Division One South club, who formed in 2004 after the merger of Sandbach Albion and Sandbach Ramblers, now have more than 700 players turning out for 48 teams.
Manchester United Ladies manager Casey Stoney visited the club’s Hind Heath Road headquarters to announce the award.
Sandbach head of football, Oliver Byron, said: “This award belongs to everyone involved in this wonderful club. “It’s for every player, coach, volunteer, parent and anyone else connected to us.”
