VIDEO: Strong winds cause bizarre Thurrock own goal

THURROCK’S Rhys Madden look away now! The Fleet keeper was unfortunate to let in a bizarre own goal on Tuesday night against .

With 20 minutes gone of the Ryman North clash between landlord and tenant at Thurrock’s Ship Lane, Madden had to be alert to tip over his own goal kick with the strong winds playing havoc.

Unfortunately he was beaten just three minutes later as Kamarl Duncan’s attempted clearance was blown high and back towards his own goal with enough force to just evade keeper Madden.

Thurrock did come back to draw 1-1 thanks to Ross Wall’s second-half strike but Madden won’t want to be reminded of the first goal, which you can watch below.
