Alan Dowson signs new two-year deal at Hampton & Richmond

ALAN DOWSON has signed a new two-year deal as Borough manager after leading the club to the Ryman Premier title.

The former boss took over at the Beveree in September 2014 and took the club back into the South in his first full season in charge.

Dowson said: “I’m glad we could sort out a deal for the next couple of seasons, and thanks to the board for showing their faith.

“It’ll give me the chance to build the club up and I think there’s a good chance we’ll do well in this coming season.”

Chairman Steve McPherson added: “We had a good meeting and I’m pleased Dowse has accepted with the deal we’ve offered.

“He was happy with the budget we’ve given him and now we’re looking forward to the next season.”

The Beavers will have to do without fan favourite striker Charlie Moone who has departed after scoring over 100 goals for the club over a six-year spell.

Players’ player of the season Moussa Diarra has also left, joining National League outfit , but Dowson has confirmed eight players have committed to Hampton for next term.

Josh Casey, Jamal Lowe, Nicke Kabamba, Kieran Murphy, Leon Solomon, Tom Jelley and Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick have all re-signed while promising academy graduate Charlie ten-Grotenhuis has also put pen to paper on a one-year deal.
