HAMPTON & RICHMOND BOROUGH have confirmed that Paul Barry and Darren Powell have been handed the managerial reins on a permanent basis.
The pair took over on an interim basis at the start of April following the resignation of Mark Harper.
They have led the Beavers to two wins, three draws and three defeats during that interim period and have now been entrusted to lead the club during their second season in the Ryman Premier.
Speaking about their permanent appointment, Beavers boss Steve McPherson said: “I am delighted that our head coach and team captain have accepted the role as first team managers.
“It’s not unique to have this set up and both men bring great experience in different areas, I believe they complement each other well and I’m very excited about the future.”
Former Camberley Town boss Barry commented: “I’m very excited to get started. We’re confident of keeping the players we want and adding a few players with the ability and mentality we want at Hampton & Richmond.”
Powell added: “I’m pleased Paul and I have been given the chance to manage the side, and hope we can get the club up next time. We also hope we can get the support from the fans and more for the coming season.”
