BROADCASTER and columnist Caroline Barker has been appointed an Independent Non-Executive Director of the National League.

Caroline, presenter of the BBC’s Show and a big fan, has an extensive knowledge of the Non-League game as well as over 15 years of broadcasting experience behind her.

Over the years, Caroline has fronted radio and television coverage of some of the world’s top events such as the Olympic Games, Super Bowl and World Cup Final and recently hosted the BBC’s coverage of the Women’s European Championships in the Netherlands.

She commented: “With the new season just kicking off, I can’t wait to join the Board. I’m looking forward to bringing some of my media background and work with fans groups to the table and help build on some of the great work already established in media partnerships and relationships throughout football.”

National League chairman, Brian Barwick added: “We are delighted to have Caroline on board. She will provide fresh-thinking in this new independent role and lend her expertise to the strategic development of The National League.”
