WALTON CASUALS will emerge from two years in the wilderness this weekend when they return to their newly-renovated Elmbridge Sports Hub home.
Despite acting as wandering nomads, the Surrey side sit pretty on top of Bostik League South after winning their opening four matches.
And they will have double reason to celebrate against Horsham on Saturday when they return to the site of their former home, Waterside Drive, which they will share with town rivals Walton & Hersham.
The new facility, designed for both football and athletics, includes two 3G floodlit picthes, a full-size grass pitch, shared pavilion and covered spectator seating for over 500 people.
Casuals chairman Tony Gale, the former West Ham defender, said: “I have lived in Elmbridge for 35 years and this is the most exciting football initiative I have come across.
“With the club’s Bostik League status, 500-strong youth section, disabled and ladies teams, I am proud to be a part of it.”
