Spitfires looking for a new academy chief as Peacock flies off to Robins nest

have confirmed head of youth development Lee Peacock has departed the club to join League Two Swindon Town’s backroom staff.
The former striker gained his first taste of coaching soon after retiring in 2012 and will now link up with former City midfielder David Flitcroft at the County Ground in Wiltshire.
A club statement posted on Eastleigh’s official website read: “Lee has been at the club since 2012 and played a significant role in the clubs promotion to the national  league.
“After retiring from Lee took on an off-the field role as Head Of Youth Development. He oversaw our successful scholarship scheme where several players have gone on to gain a first team contract.
“Information on the restructuring of the youth section will be released shortly.
Peacock’s work in developing players for the Spitfires first team has seen striker Tom Bearwish and goalkeeper Mark Childs handed first-team numbers for this season, with Richard Hill’s side currently lying 16th in the table.
